Southern Way of Life article – Bright’s Creek hosting BMW Pro Am Tournament again

Article from Southern Way of Life about President Obama’s visit.
Barack Obama and his wife Michelle chose to vacation in Asheville last weekend. The President was quoted as saying during his campaign while visiting Asheville, he found the state of North Carolina to be perhaps the prettiest state in the Union. Given the fact they chose to come back to Asheville and stay at the infamous Grove Park Inn – perhaps he too is captivated by the beauty of the mountains that encompass this city.
Great article about the Lake Lure area on the Southern Way of Life website.
“The Western North Carolina mountains have become an increasingly popular choice for retirees and second home buyers. In fact, in the next 10 years, more than 2.4 million people are predicted to relocate within 100 miles of Asheville North Carolina. This area regularly makes the BEST PLACES TO LIVE lists for second homes and retirement hot spots. The reasons why include – better quality of life, low cost of living, four season climate, arts and culture, good access to several airports, and interstate highways headed in all directions. Living in Lake Lure has been attractive to many folks for over a decade. New residents have come from all over the country (and the world) drawn to the pace of life in Lake Lure and over the years, it has remained true to its easy going, laid- back southern roots, just beyond Asheville.”
